 Located in downtown Black Mountain, N.C., Town Hardware & General Store occupies three historic buildings dating from the 1920s (one used to be the 5-and-10 and one used to be the drug store).
We are still a working hardware store, with all the products and services you would expect from a top-of-the-line hardware. In addition, however, we carry a number of hard-to-find items -- not just in hardware and tools, but also in housewares, toys, and outdoor living.

We're an old-fashioned store -- and we try to carry through with that by having traditional, reliable products and customer service that brings back the good old days. But we do try to stay current, too, by having the latest products -- occasionally, even "trendy."
The summer has flown by and school has now started. That means football season is starting as well. We can help you show your school colors with everything from drink coasters to mugs to parking signs. We tally sales by college to see who is No. 1 among our cutomer base.
